About Certified Laser Scanning

FARO-certified expertise. Full-service reality capture, tailored to your project.

We remove uncertainty from decisions about existing conditions. Our U.S.-based team plans field capture, operates FARO equipment, registers and reviews the data, and prepares custom point-cloud, CAD, BIM and documentation deliverables for each project.

How We Work

Who We Are

A U.S.-based reality-capture company serving projects across North America and Europe.

Certified Laser Scanning is a U.S.-owned and operated reality-capture company that provides 3D laser scanning, point-cloud processing, existing-condition documentation and Scan-to-BIM services. With more than eight years of industry experience, the company supports architects, engineers, contractors, BIM/VDC teams, industrial operators, fabricators, property owners and facility managers.

The organization is led and operated by an entirely U.S.-based team of FARO-certified scan technicians and trainers. That team manages each assignment from initial scope development and site planning through field capture, registration, quality review and final delivery. Keeping those responsibilities within one coordinated service structure helps maintain clear communication, consistent technical standards and direct accountability.

Certified Laser Scanning has supported projects in the United States, Canada and Germany. Its work spans commercial buildings, industrial facilities, mechanical spaces, infrastructure, renovation programs and other environments where reliable existing-condition information is essential.

Every engagement begins with the project decision the customer needs to make. Capture limits, access constraints, control requirements, software compatibility and deliverable expectations are defined before fieldwork begins. The result is an organized set of project information tailored to the customer’s workflow, not a generic collection of scan files.

Custom-fit delivery

Point cloud, CAD, BIM and documentation outputs are aligned with the customer’s software and project purpose.

Why We Do It

Existing conditions should reduce uncertainty, not create another data problem.

Design and construction decisions are only as dependable as the information behind them. Conventional measurements, outdated drawings and unstructured scan files can leave teams guessing about geometry they cannot see or revisit easily.

Our role is to replace that uncertainty with structured, reviewable information. Before fieldwork, we define what must be visible, how the data should be registered, which coordinate framework applies and what the final information must support.

After capture, the team reviews coverage and registration quality before preparing the agreed point-cloud, CAD, BIM or documentation package. The output is organized for the customer’s software environment so the project team can review, coordinate and make decisions without first untangling raw scan data.

This disciplined field-to-delivery process preserves the context behind the measurements and gives customers a clear, accountable path from the physical site to usable project information.
